1 RESOLUTION NO. 879
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
URGING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF RIVER-
SIDE COUNTY NOT TO REZONE CERTAIN LAND
NEAR THE CITY BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF
41 SAN JACINTO TO "RT ZONE"
5 This resolution is adopted with reference to the following facts :
6i A. The application of Daniel Hollingsworth for a change of zone '
of a parcel ofland of approximately twenty acre area has been ap-
7 proved by -the Planning Commission of Riverside County for an RT
zone .

12 C. An RT zone would permit the division of said parcel into in-
dividual trailer lots separately owned without requiring provision
13 to be made for recreational development, open space or buffer
strips or separate peripheral roads thereby potentially creating
1= additional„problems of urban sprawl, lack of parks and recreation
sites and facilities and vehicular traffic congestion.

D. An RTA zone when applied to said parcel would permit the prop-
16 ' erty to be used for mobile home parks under a common ownership of
the park operator thereby allowing provision to be made for open
171 spaces, cluster-type development, recreation sites and facilities aid
peripheral roads and buffer strips, thereby preventing and avoiding
18 the potential problems described above
191 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto; sitting in regular session this' 8th_day of September,
20 1970 as follows :
21 � 1. The City Council opposes the change of zone requested by Dan-
iel Hollingsworth to RT zone as approved by -the Planning Commission
22i of Riverside County and perfers as a less evil alternative a change
of zone to RTA.

2 . The City Clerk is instructed to certify to the adoption of
24 this resolution and to forward copies of the', same to the Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors and to the Planning Commission, Riverside
251I County'.

261 3 . This resolution is adopted pursuant to the facts set forth
27i above .
ADOPTED AND SIGNED this 8th day of. September, 1970 by the affirma
28 , tive vote of four councilmen, one councilman being absent.
