1 i A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO TO APPROVE CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR
2 PARTICIPATION IN PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
3 WHEREAS the Public Employees ' Retirement Law permits the participation of
; public aoencies in the Public Employees ' Retirement System, makina their employees )
4 iriembers of said system, and sets forth the procedure by which participation may
ibe accomplished; -and

I WHEREAS one of the steps required in the procedure is the adoption by the
6 �� Governinq ;Body of the Public Agency of a resolution giving notice of intention to
lapprove a contract for such participation between said Governing Body and the
7 lRetirement System Board of Administration, which resolution shall contain a sum-
Imary of the major provisions of the proposed retirement plan -, and
9 WHEREAS attached is a summary of the major grovisions of the or000sed plan;
NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
ZO I
'Jacinto gives, and it does hereby give notice of intention to anprove a contract
�between said City Council and the Board of Administration of the Public Employees '
1'1 ' Retirement System, vrovidinq for participation of said City of San Jacinto in said
Retirement. System, a copy of said contract and a copy of the sumirary of the major
12 provisions of the proposed plan being attached hereto, €larked Exhibits "A" , "B"
and `C" respectively', and by this reference made a part hereof.
