2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
3 COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE TO PERMIT THE COUNTY CLERK OF SAID
COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY OF SAN
4 JACINTO RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF THE GENERAL MUNI-
CIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON MARCH 7, 1978.

WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the City of San
6 Jacinto on March 7, 1978; and
7 WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in relation thereto
it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling place inserts to the reg- �
8 istered voters of the City, and it will facilitate such mailing if the County
Clerk of the County of Riverside will prepare and furnish the City the imprinting
- 9 of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on I .B.M. poll-
ing place inserts furnished by the County, and after bursting the forms will in-
10 sert the polling place insert and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnish
ed by the City; will place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise the City
11 Clerk of the number of pieces to be pailed, prepare POD Form 3602, "Statement of
Mailing Matter with Permit Imprints" , and advise the City Clerk when work is com-
12 plete so delivery can be arranged; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall be paid by

13 the City of San Jacinto;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto does hereby RE-
SOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
15 SECTION 1 . That pursuant to the provisions of Section 2203 of the Elections
Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby requests the Board of
16 Supervisors of said County to permit the County Clerk to prepare and furnish to
said City, for use in conducting said election to be held on March 7, 1978, the
17 imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on
I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the County, and after bursting the
10 forms to insert the polling place insert and sample ballots into envelopes, all
to be furnished by the City, will place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags , ad- 1
" 19 vise the City Clerk of the number of pieces to be mailed, prepare POD Form 3602,
"Statement of Mailing Matter with Permit Imprints" , and advise the City Clerk
20 when work is complete so delivery can be arranged.
21 SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse said County for services performed
when the work is completed and upon presentation to the City of a properly ap-
22 proved bill .
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward without delay
23 to said Board of Supervisors and to said County Clerk, each a certified copy of
this resolution.
