2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO CALLING FOR A CONTRACT WITH THE CALIFORNIA HIGH
3 -WAY PATROL FOR ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT PARTICIPATION.
4 WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Sections 22660 and 22710 provide for an
5 Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund and a method of disbursement of funds to local agen-
6 cies that participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program, and
7 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California has adopted an Ordinance in ac
8 cordance with the California Vehicle Code providing for the Abatement of Abandon-
9 ed Vehicles, and
10 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California desires to participate in the
11 Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and share in the monies in said Abandoned Ve-
12 hicle Trust Fund.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of San Jacinto participate
3.4 in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program from July 1 , 1977 through June 30,
3.5 1977, and
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Leslie J. Crist, City Manager, is' hereby auth-
17 orized to execute the contract with the Department of the California Highway Pa
18 trol for participation in said Abandoned Vehicle Program.
19 MOVED,AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of San Jacinto on the
20 7th of June 1977, by the following vote:
21 AYES`. Councilmen Hazeltine, Stevens, Brooks,• Ver Plank and Wilson.
