1 RESOLUTION NO. 1149
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO ADOPTING AN AFFIRMA-
3 TIVE ACTION PLAN FOR EMPLOYMENT MATTERS
4 WHEREAS, The City of San Jacinto always has offered and is desirous of
5 continuing to offer,equal opportunity in employment of City personnel; and
6 WHEREAS, the City is interested in avoiding discriminatory practices
7 against any person it may hire in the future; and
8 WHEREAS, there should not be discrimination in personnel policies regard
9 ing selection, training, transfer, promotion, termination, compensation or other
10 benefits on the basis of race, creed, national origin, color, religion, age,
11 physical handicaps or whether or not persons are male or -Female; and
12 WHEREAS, a plan has been prepared which will help identify employee prob
13 lems and assure fair and equitable treatment for all employees;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does adopt an Affirma-
15 tive Action Plan, does hereby appoint the City Manager to be the Affirmative
16 Action Coordinator, and assigns to him the responsibility of carrying out the
17 intent and purpose of said Plan in compliance with the Equal Opportunity Act
18 of 1972.
19 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 3rd day of May 1977.
