2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, A CALIFORNIA MUNICIPALITY, CALLING
3 FOR A CONTRACT WITH THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL
FOR ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT PARTICIPATION.
4 WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Sections 22660 and 22710 provide for an
5 Abandoned Vehicle- Trust Fund and a method of disbursement of funds to local
6 agencies tlial-' participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program, and
7
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, has adopted Ordinance No.
81 459 in accordance with the California Vehicle Code providing for the Abatement
9
of Abandoned Vehicles, and
10 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, desires to participate in
11 the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and share in the monies in said Aban-
12
doned Vehicle Trust Fund.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Jacinto participate
14 in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program from July 1 , 1976 through June 30,
15
1977.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, H. E. McNabb, is hereby
17 authorized to execute the contract with the Department of the California High-
18 way Patrol for participation in said Abandoned Vehicle Program.
19 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October 1976 by the following
20
vote:
21 AYES: Councilwoman Hazeltine, Councilmen Stevens, Brooks and Ver Plank.
22 NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Wilson.
