RESOLUTION NO. 1055
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, A CALIFORNIA MUNICIPALITY,
3 SUBMITTING A CLAIM ON GRANT MONEYS AVAILABLE
PURSUANT TO SB 325 ARTICLE 4 FOR THE PURPOSE
4 OF CONTINUING AND EXPANDING THE EXISTING PUBLIC
,
TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO.

WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto having requested and received SB 325
6
grant money previously to initiate a minibus public transportation system in the
7
City of San Jacinto; and
8
WHEREAS, the operation of the public transportation system has been very
9
helpful to many residents in San Jacinto who are either without means, of vehicu-
la
lar transportation, unable to drive cars, too old to qualify for driving license
11
or financially unable to own and operate a car; and
12
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto wishes to continue
13
the operation of this necessary public service; and
14
WHEREAS, when a joint powers agreement to expand public transportation -
15
facilities between the City of San Jacinto and the neighboring sister cities Is
16
consummated sometime during this fiscal year; and
17
WHEREAS, the need for additional rolling stock representing the City of
18 ,
San Jacinto's proportionate share in the joint public transportation syster7 be-
comes a requirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San

Jacinto sitting in regular session this 6th day of May, 1975 that the Southern
22 I
California Association of Governments is hereby requested to accept and process
23
the claim of $39,111 pursuant to SB 325 Article 4, and deliver said amount to
24
the City of San Jacinto so it may be used for the purposes enumerated above.

MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1975.
