RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENTION TO ORDER CERTAIN
LIGHTING FIXTURES AND APPLIANCES ON CERTAIN
3 STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO TO BE; MAINTAINED AND CURRENT TO BE
4 FURNISHED FOR LIGHTING AS ANNEXATION OF TERRI-
TORY KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO.. 15 TO STREET
5 LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. l AS ESTABLISHED BY
RESOLUTION-NO. . 888 'AS _AMENDED; FOR A PERIOD OF
g MONTHS BEGINNING JULY 11 1975' AND ENDING JUNE

8 The City Council of the City of San Jacinto, California, does
9 hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows`:
SECTIO14 l: That the public interest and convenience require,
10 and itt ismintention of this City Council to order, those cer-
tain electric street lighting fixtures and appliances on portions
11
of the public streets, public rights of way and public places
within Annexation Number 15 to the' City` of San Jacinto,' within the
12 City of San Jacinto as shown on that certain Diagram or map on
file, marked "PLAN NO„ 74-1 , " on file in the `Office of the City
13
Clerk , by annexation to San 'Jacinto Lighting District No. 1, first
established by Resolution Noq 888 as amended, which fixtures and

appliances are to as now constructed or as construct-
ed hereafter which is now owned and will continue to be
15 '
owned by s Southern, California Edison Company, a public utility
16 under the jurisdiction of and regulated'; by the Public Utilities
Commission of the State` of_California, _all in accordance with
17 a <report of the Director of Public Works dated November `2nd ,
1974 , and filed in the Office of the City Clerk , which Diagram
and Plan and report are hereby referred to. The period of
ld
time for furnishing of current and maintenance of said fixtures
19 and appliances shall be set forth in detail in a NOTICE OF
IMPROVEMENT, which said NOTICE shall be both published and
20 posted.
21 All of the work and improvement above set forth shall be
done in accordance with the 'Plans ;and Specifications therefor,
22 referred to in the report of the Director of Public Works , dated
November 22nd ,1974 'which report is on file in the 'Office of the
23 City Clerl�,=d by this reference 'made a part hereof.
The cost for all of said work and improvements in the annexa-
24 tion above set forth is hereby contemplated to be borne by the
25 said district by special assessment taxes levied upon all of the
real property within said district including the annexed terri-
tories in accordance with the procedure authorized by Chapter

8- 5 being ,part of >Part ;I of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways
Code oflthe ,State of California, and the City of San Jacinto shall

not bear any of the cost for: said work from ,general funds
28 SECTION 2 : The work and improvement herein contemplated, in
29 the opi o this City Council, ;is of more than local or
ordinary benefit, and this City Council hereby makes the expense
$0 of said work and improvement chargeable! upon the entire districts
including the territory to be annexed, _which; district shall
31 continue to be known as "San Jacinto Street Lighting District
No. 1 , ;As Annexed, " which district said City Council hereby
32 declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement

1 and to he assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, in
accordance with the provisions of Section 18080 of the ;Streets
2 and Highways Code, which district is that portion of the City of
San Jacinto as shown on Diagrams and Plans Nos. 70-1 and 74-1 on
3 file in the Office of the City Clerk. Said Diagrams and Plans No.
70-1 and 74-1 indicate the extentof said assessment district
4 as annexed and the exterior boundaries thereof, as read together,'
and reference is hereby made to said Diagrams and Plans for
5 complete and detailed description of said District. Said Diagrams
and Plans shall govern all details as to the extent of said
6 assessment district as annexed. The period for such work and
improvement shall: commence July 1 1975 and terminate June 31 ,
7 1981.
8 SECTION 3 : That Monday , , the 23rd day of December, 1974, at
the hour f 730 o' clock p.m. , be and the same is hereby appointed
91 as the time and the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City'
of San Jacinto, California, is hereby fixed as the place for' hear-
ing protests to the proposed improvement.
1Z SECTION 4 : That the City Clerk of said City;is hereby author-
ized and directed to dive -notice of said time and place of hearing
12 in the time, form 'and^manner prescribed by ,law.
13 SECTIO14 5 : That the Valley Register, a weekly newspaper of
general circulation, heretofore adjudged to be published in the
14 Pity of' San- Jacinto, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which
such notice shall be published.

SECTION 6 : The improvement contemplated by this Resolution
16 of Inten on shall be done under the provisions of the "Street
Lighting Act of 1919 , " 'being; Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets
17 and Highways Code, of the State of California, as amended.
18 SECTION 7 : That this Resolution shall take effect immediately
19 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of November, 1974 .
