OF DIVISION l`4 , PART 1, ;STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
4 CODE , STREET LIGHTING ACT OF 1919 ,, AS AMENDED,
FOR THE CONSOLIDATION AND AMENDMENT OF sSTREET
5 LIGHTING, DISTRICT NO. 1, ESTABLISHED BY
RESOLUTION NO. 888 AS AMENDED.

7 WHEREAS , the public convenience and necessity require, and it
is the intention of the City Council of the City of San Jacinto, to
8 order the consolidation and amendment of Street Lighting District
No. l in the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of
9 street lighting in a system owned by a `public utility subject to
the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of the State cif
10 California, in the City of San Jacinto for a period of months be-
ginning July 1, 1975 and 'ending June 30 , 1981; and

WHEREAS, proceedings for such proposed amendment of the
12 district andlthelannexation -and consolidation of similar lighting'
systems not originally included will be taken pursuant to the
131 provisions of Division 14 , Part 1, of the Streets and Highways Code
1 of the State of California, being the "Street Lighting Act of 1919a
14I as amended; and
15i WHEREAS , the alternative procedure for levying and collecting
the ad valorem tax is -most- suitable for this city; and

17II WHEREAS , the provisions of said Division 14 , Part 1, require
'
a written report,,concerning such amendment;
181 NOVI, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the
19 City Council , of the City of San Jacinto, as follows :
SECTION 1. That the City Director of Public Works be and he

is hereby ordered:to prepare a written report pursuant to the pro-
visions of Chapter 8.5 Part 1 , Division 14 of the Streets and
Highways Code, for the consolidation and annexation of existing
22 systems by amendment of, Street Lighting District No. l for the
furnishing of electric current, and the maintenance of street
03 lighting in a system owned by a public `utility subject to the
jurisdiction of the Public UtilitiesCommission of the State of
24 California in said City for a period of months beginning July 1 ,
1975 , and ending June 30 , 1981;
25 SECTION 2 . That said written report shall be filed with the
Clerk of the City of San Jacinto, who who shall present it to the City
26 Council for its consideration.
27 SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
