I RESOLUTION NO. 1037
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JA-
CINTO APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1974 STATE GRANT
3 FUNDS FOR MISTLETOE AND SALLEE PARKS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
4 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the "State
Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974 which pro-
5 vides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for ac- i
quirinq lands and developinq facilities for public outdoor recreation and his
6 torical purposes; and
7 WHEREAS, the State Department of parks and Recreation has been delegated j
the responsibility for the administration of the program within the State, set-
8 Iting up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the
, program, and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and
10 iRecreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of appli-
! cations prior to submission of said applications to the State; and

WHEREAS , said applications contain assurances that the applicant must com-
12i ply with; and

13 WHEREAS, said procedures further require the applicant to possess an adop- '.
1 ted plan showing parks and recreation lands and facilities, existing and pro
14� posed; and
15 WHEREAS, the `City's "Mistletoe and Sallee Parks Development Project" was
jfirst adopted by the City Council on the, 2nd of July 1974.

WHEREAS, the proposed "Mistletoe and Sallee Parks Development project" ap-
17 !pears on the City's plan, is consistent with the California Outdoor Recreation
Resources Plan and is in conformity with the State Environmental Goals and Poli-
18 cy Report; and

19 WHEREAS, the project must be compatible with the land use plans of those
20 ,jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby:

1 . Approves the filing of an application for 1974 State Grant
22 assistance; and
23 2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances in the
application; and
24
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds
25 to operate and maintain the project; and
26 4. Certifies that said agency meets the planning requirements
and that the project is compatible with the landuse plans
27 of those jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project;
and
28
5. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City to conduct
29 all negotiations, execute and ,submit all documents includ-
inq but not limited to applications , agreements, amend-
30 i merits, payment requests, and so on which may be necessary
for the completion of the aforementioned project.

6. Directs the City Clerk to transmit a_copy of this resolu-
32 tion to the State of California Department of Parks and
