2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACIN-
TO DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE
3 EXCHANGED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE AND THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO RELATING TO ANNEXATION NO. 31 TO THE CITY
4 OF SAN JACINTO
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO IN ADJOURNED SESSIO
ASSEMBLED ON THE 20th DAY OF DECEMBER 1979:

1 . The County of Riverside and the City of San Jacinto, are the agencies
7 whose area of responsibility for service would be affected by Annexation No . 31
to. the City of San Jacinto, designated LAFC No. 79-31-3.

2. Representatives of each of the affected agencies have met and negotiatF
9 an exchange of 'property tax revenue to become effective for tax purposes begin-
ning July 1 , 1980, as follows:
10 A. ,The City of San Jacinto shall assume the service responsibility for
11 the suppression and prevention of structural fires in the area to, be annexed,
for which ,purpose it maintains a fire department, and for such service assumptio
12 shall receive 100 percent of that portion ,of the property tax revenue generated
within the territory to be annexed that is presentlycollected by the County of
13 Riverside as a structural fire protection ax.
14 B. The City, of San Jacinto shall assume theresponsibility for all other
general municipal services to the area to be annexed as are required by law or
15 presently provided throughout the City and for such service 'assumption shall re-
ceive 25 percent of that portion of property tax revenue generated within the
16 territory to be annexed under the ad valorem tax_rate established by Article
XIII-A of the Constitution of the State of California , that represents the Count
17 of Riverside' s share of such property tax revenue.
i8 C. The County Auditor 'shall convert the above established percentage
figures into actual dollar figures and thereafter allocate such property tax
19 revenue in accord with the provisions of Section 95 et- seq. _of the Revenue and
Taxation Code.
20 3. The CityCouncil of the City of San Jacinto does hereby aa`ree to the
21 above- recited exchange of property tax revenue.
22 4 . The Clerk shall transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to each af-
fected agency and ,to the Executive Office of the Local Agency Formation Commis-
23 i sion and to the Auditor of the County of Riverside pursuant to Section 99 of the
Revenue and Taxation Code.
