2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACIN-
TO INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
3 "TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SAN JACINT05 KNOWN AS ANNEXATION
NO. 31 , AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION

THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED WITH REFERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING FACTS:

A. Preliminary proceedings for annexation of the territory herein described
6 were commenced by the City. Council of the City of :San Jacinto-by the adoption of
Resolution No.. 1248.

8 B. Said proceeding was,named Annexation No. 31 to the City of San Jacinto
by the City Council and the territory the subject of the proposed annexation is
9 described in Exhibit A, attached hereto. ;
10 C. The said territory is uninhabited
11 D. The annexation was proposed from the reasons set forth in Exhibit B,
attached hereto.-
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of San Jacin-
13 to sitting in regular adjourned session the 18th day of September 1979 as follows :
14 1 . The Council finds the foregoing facts to be true.
2. -Pursuant to the provisions of Section 35201 of the Government Code 'a pub
15 lic hearing shall be held in the council chambers at 209 E. Main Street, San Ja-
cinto, California, 92383, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. on October 23, 1979 to de-
16 termine whether or not the said Annexation No. 31 should be ordered to change
the boundaries of the City of San Jacinto.
17 3. The owners of the land_within the territory, Exhibit A, and the register
18 ed voters residing therein, may file written protests to the proposed annexation
with the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto at the City offices, 201 'E. Main
19 Street, or by mail at P.O. Box "488, San Jacinto, California at any time 'prior to
the conclusion, of the public hearing thereon.
20 _'4. The City Clerk shall cause notice to be published in the Valley Register
a newspaper adjudged of general circulation in the City of San Jacinto, County of
21 Riverside, State of California , and posted and mailed as required 'by-law and shall
certify to theadopters hereof and file the same with the Commission.
22 MOVED, PASSED AND :A-DOPTED the 18th day of September 1979.

CITY OF SAN JACINTO
That portion of Farm Lots 138 , 139 , 141 and 142 of the
lands of the San Jacinto Land Association as shown by Map
on file in Book 8 of Maps, Page 357 , Records of San Diego
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Annexation
No. 13 to the City of San Jacinto, said corner being also
a point on the center line of De Anza Drive , formerly South
Central Avenue;
Thence South 45°00 ' 00" West along the North line of
said Annexation No. 13 a distance of 452 . 65 feet to an
angle point in said North line;
Thence continuing along said North line West a distance
of 1, 055 . 41 feet to the Northwest corner of said Annexation
No. 13 said corner being also a point on the East line of
aforesaid Farm Lot 142;
Thence South along the East line of said Farm Lot 142
a distance of 390 . 00 feet, more or less, to the Southeast
corner of the Northeast one-quarter of said Farm Lot 142;
Thence West along the South line of said Northeast
-one-quarter of Farm Lot 142 a distance of 1 , 320 . 00 feet,
more or less , to the Southwest corner of said Northeast
one-quarter of Farm Lot 142;
Thence North along the West line of said Northeast
- one-quarter of Farm Lot 142 a distance of 1, 320 . 00 feet,
more or less, to the Northwest corner of said Northeast
one-quarter of Farm Lot 142;
Thence West along the North line of said Farm Lot
142 , being also along the South line of aforesaid Farm
Lot 138 , a distance of 120 . 00 feet, more or less , to an
intersection with a line that is parallel with and 1, 199 . 88
feet East of the West line of said Farm Lot 138 ;
Thence North along said parallel line a distance of
660. 00 feet to an intersection with a line that is parallel
with and 660 . 00 feet North of the South line of said Farm
LOt 138 ;
. Thence East along said parallel line and continuing
East along a line that is parallel with and 660 . 00 feet
North of the South line of aforesaid Farm Lot 139 a distance
of 1, 554 . 00 feet, more or less, to an intersection with
the aforesaid center line of De Anza Drive;
Thence South 45' 00 ! 00" East along said center line
a distance of 1 , 789 . 00 feet, more or less , to the point

EXHIBIT A
Reasons for Proposed Annexation
1 . The territory is continguous to the City of San Jacinto and
its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate
the orderly growth and development of both the city and the
territory proposed to be annexed.
2. Annexation will facilitate and contribute to the proper and
orderly lay out, design and construction of streets, gutters ,
sidewalks, sanitary sewers and storm drainage facilities,
both within and without the territory proposed to be annexed.
3. Annexation will provide and facilitate the proper overall --plan
nng and zoning of lands and subdivision of lands in said city
and in said uninhabited territory in a manner most conducive to
the welfare of the people and owners of land located within said
city and within said territory.
