2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
A CALIFORNIA MUNICIPALITY, ADOPTING STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
3 FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTIONS AS PROVIDED BY SECTIONS 16,
17, 18 and 21 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO

RECITALS:

A. -Ordinance No. 653 amends Section 21-1 of the Code of the City of San
6 Jacinto, hereafter called the Code, to provide for detailed standards ofadequacy
of water mains.

B. Orderly administration of construction in the public right-of-way or of
8 public improvements including water lines and sewerage require detailed guide-
lines and standards by which the adequacy of construction can be determined.

C. _Detailed standards assist the city administration in setting the type of
10 public works construction requirements as the undeveloped areas within the city
dare improved. Such standards will assist developers and contractors in antici
11 Ipating the type of and cost of construction of offsite public improvements there-
12 by providing more orderly and consistent development.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council sitting in regular ses-
14 sion the-5th day of June 1979, as follows:
15 1 . The document entitled- "City of San Jacinto Standard Specifications",
which refers to and incorporates by reference the provisions of the 1976 Edition
16 of the "Standard Specifications of the Southern California Chapter of the America
Public Works Associationand the Associated General Contractors of America", and
17 the document commonly referred to as "The Green Book" is hereby established as
the standards for public works construction, including water-lines -and sewerage
18 of and within the boundaries of this city.
19 2. The City Clerk is directed to maintain at least two copies of said Sped
fications to be available for public inspection and to sell at reasonable cost
20 copies of the same.
21 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June" 1979.
