2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,_A
CALIFORNIA MUNICIPALITY, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT-REVISING PART
3 4C OF THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH RIVERSIDE TRANSIT AGENCY.
4 " WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto is a party to the Joint Powers Agreement
5 establishing the Riverside Transit Agency, a separate and distinct public entity,
6 subject to the provisions set forth therein; and
7 WHEREAS, on March 22, 1979, the RTA Board 'of Directors adopted a Resolution
g recommemding that the governing Board of each party to said Joint Powers',Agree-
9 ment approve an amendment revising Part 4C of said Joint Powers Agreement by
10 deleting the following language from Part 4C:

At-its-erganizatieRal-meeting; the'Board members shall select from their
17 number a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman who shall serve in such capacities
for a period to be established by the Board . The Board shall adopt rules
18 of procedure and ;shall establish a 'time and place for regular Board meet-
ings, provided, however, that regular meetings shall be scheduled not

23 WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed Amendment to said Joint Powers Agree
24 ment is to delete provisions that are either no longer applicable or unduly re
2 5 strict the conduct of business by the RTA Board of Directors, and
26 WHEREAS, paragraph 20 of said Joint Powers Agreement provides that said
27 Joint Powers Agreement may be amended by a written amendment unanimously approved
28 I by the parties.
29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
30 Jacinto does hereby approve Amendment No. l to the Joint Powers Agreement treat-
31 ing the Riverside Transit Agency by amending Part 4C to read as follows :
32 "C. Board- Organization

1 The Board members shall select from their number a Chairman and a
Vice-Chairman who shall serve in such capacities for a period to
2 be established by the Board. The Board shall adopt rules of pro`-
cedure=and shall establish a time and place for egular Board meet-
3 ings , provided, however, that regular meetings shall be scheduled

this agreement.
