RESOLUTION NO. 1240
1 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION
2 - PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY.

- 3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO:
—4 Section 1 . That the Council of the City of San Jacinto, for reasons here-
5 ) inafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as soon as it can le-

6 Bally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of San Jacinto all the territory
7 hereinafter described , as uninhabited territory under provisions of the Annexa-
8 tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to
9 35326, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California.
1-0 Section 2. That the Council 's reasons for proposing to initiate said an-
11 nexation proceedings are as follows ; The annexation of the hereinafter-describ-
- 12 ed territory will contribute to the orderly growth of the City, provide proper
131 control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design and insure proper use
141 of the land in conformity with the overall zoning plan of the City.
15 Section 3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is here
16 by identified as "Annexation No. 29" and consists of all that real property de-
17 scribed on "Exhibit A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
18 Section 4. That the Planning Director of the City of San Jacinto is here-
by directed to file with the Boundary Commission of the Local Agency Formation
20 Commission of the County of Riverside, State of California, this proposal to !

21 initiate proceedings to annex the territory described in "Exhibit A" attached
22 hereto, to the City of San Jacinto and to request approval of the Local Agency
23 Formation Commission as provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.
24 ADOPTED this 13th day of November 1978.
AYES: Councilmen Hazeltine, Brooks, Stevens and Ver Plank.
