2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO,_CALIFORNIA, OBJECTING TO THE PUBLIC SALE OF
3 CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND BY THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SAID PARCELS.

WHEREAS in accordance with the provisions of Chapter'4, Part 6, 'Division 'I

of the California Revenue and Taxation Code, the Board of Supervisors of River-
6 side County did instruct the Tax Collector of Riverside County to sell certain
7 , parcels of land for which deeds to the State have been filed with the Controller
8 of the State of California as provided in Sections 3511 et seq. of said Revenue
9 and Taxation Code; and
10 WHEREAS said parcels of land include the two parcels which adjoin the
11 City' s Secondary Highway Main Street and one parcel which is located adjacent

to the City's maintenance yard on Industrial Way; and
13 WHEREAS the City of San Jacinto is desirous of obtaining the fee title of
14 the three parcels for a public use, which public uses include the widening of
15 Main Street and city maintenance center purposes;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
17 Jacinto that in accordance with the provisions of Section 3695.4 of Chapter 7,
18 Part 6, Division 1 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code, the City of San
19 Jacinto, a municipal corporation of the State of California, does hereby object
20 to the public sale of the parcels of land as described in Exhibit A attached
21 hereto and incorporated herein.
_ 22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of San Jacinto pursuant to the pro
2 3 visions of Chapter 8, Part 6, Division 1 of said Revenue and Taxation Code does
24 hereby make application to buy said parcels for the purchase price equal to the
25 current and accrued taxes , including delinquencies, and other charges which
26 may be appropriate, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and
27 deliver the agreement for purchase or other necessary documents.
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in event the City of San Jacinto acquires said

29 i parcels of land hereinabove described, then in the event said land shall be sold
30 by said City instead of being used for public purposes, pursuant to the terms of
31 the agreement under which the land is proposed to be acquired, then said City
32 agrees to divide the net proceeds of said sale pro rata with other taxing i
agencies under the applicable provisions of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
2 ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and attested by the
3 City Clerk this 3rd day of October 1978.
