2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, "A
CALIFORNIA MUNICIPALITY, CALLING FOR A CONTRACT WITH THE CALIFORNIA
3 HIGHWAY PATROL FOR ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT PARTICIPATION
4 WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Sections 9250.7 and'22710 provide for an �
5 Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund and a method of disbursement of funds to local
6 agencies that participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program; and
7 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, has adopted an Ordinance
- 8 in accordance with the California Vehicle Code providing for the Abatement of
9 Abandoned Vehicles; and
10 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, desires to participate in
11 the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and share in the monies in said Aban-
12 doned Vehicle Trust Fund.
13 � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of San Jacinto participate
14i in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program for fiscal year 1978-79.
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
16
execute the contract with the Department of the California Highway Patrol for I
17 participation in said Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Proqram.
18 On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilwoman Hazeltine, the
- lg foregoing order is adopted this 6th day of September 1978 by the following vote:
20 AYES: Councilmen Brooks, Hazeltine, Stevens , Ver Plank and Wilson.
21 NOES: None
22 Absent: None
