2 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE COST OF ABATEMENT
AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION ON TIIE
3 REGULAR TAX BILL.
4 The city council adopted Resolution No. 1216_on the 2nd day of
May , 19 78 , electing to proceed under_ Government Code
5 Sections 39501-39538 and declared a public nuisance, all weeds
growing upon streets , sidewalks and private property in the city
bland determining this to be a recurring nuisance ;

7 The city council adopted Resolution *,To . 1216A on the 16th day
of May , 1-978, following the holding of a public hearing
8 and did overrule objections and determined to proceed with the
abatement of weeds growing upon public ways and private property
9 in the city:
10 The superintendent has abated the nuisance declared by
,2esolution No . 1216A and has kept and account of the cost of a
11 , abatement and has submitted it to the city council far con irm-
� ation :

NOW , TIiFREFORF , IT IS FOUND , DETERI_INED ATID OI:DETED as
13 follows:
14 ( 1) The city council ordered the superintendent to abate
the nuasauce declared by Resolution No. 1216A IDy having the
a
15 weeds , rubbish, refuse and dirt removed nd thereafter the
superintendent entered upon provate property more particularly
16 hereafter described to abate the nuisance and the superintendent
kept an account of the cost of abatement and has submitted it to
17 the council for confirmation in the form of an itei-iized written
report showing the cost and a copy of the report has been posted
18 in the time and manner required by Government Code Section 3957S.
No objections were filed up or made by the property owner liable
l9lfor assessment for the abatement and the report as set forth in
Exlibit "A" is confirmed, except
20 No exceptions
21 ( 2) Cost of the abatement as set forth in "xhihit "A
constitutes a special assessment against that parcel and is a
22 ' lien on the parcel.
23 I (3) The city clerk is directed to transar,it a certified
lcopy of this resolution to the county assessor , county tax
24 1 collector and county auditor on or before Auqust 10 1978
iThe county auditor is requested to enter the assessment on the
2-51county tax roll and to collect the total amount of the assessment
! at the time and in the i:anner as other ordinary unicipal taxes .
