1 RESOLUTION NO. 1222
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 1104 WHICH
3 SIGNIFIED THE INTENT TO TERMINATE THE SOCIAL
SECURITY AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1104 the City of San Jacinto signified its intent
5
to terminate the Social Security Agreement of February 16, 1951 between the City
6
of San Jacinto and the State of California; and
7
WHEREAS, in February of 1978 an election was held by the employees of the
8
City of San Jacinto; and
9
WHEREAS, a majority of the employees voted to remain in the Social Security
10
System by the following vote:
11
37 voting to remain in the Social Security System
12 16 voting to withdraw from the Social Security System.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Jacin-
14 to:
15 1 . That the above facts are true.
2. That the City of San Jacinto will remain in the Social Security System.

3. That the city clerk be directed to certify to the adoption of this Reso-
17 lution and to forward a copy to the Public Employees Retirement System.
18 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of June 1978 by the following vote:
lg AYES: Councilmen Hazeltine, Ver Plank, Stevens , Brooks and Wilson.
20 NOES: None
21 ABSENT: None.
