RESOLUTION NO. 146;
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENTS
1 TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE HEMET-SAN JACINTO
AREA PLAN FOR THE THIRD CYCLE OF CALENDAR YEAR 1982

3 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
4 WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the Government Code provides that no mandatory
- 5 element of a General Plan shall be amended more frequently than three times dur-
ing any calendar year, and that the City Council of the City of San Jacinto is
6 amending the Land Use Element of the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan for the third
time during the 1982 calendar year; and

WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto Planning Commission held public hearings
8 on change to the Land Use Element on September 7, 1982 on` GPA-7-82 and did
adopt Resolution No. 82-24 on December 6, 1982, on GPA-8-82 and 9-82, and did
9 adopt Resolution No. 82-30 and 82-31 respectively, making recommendations
to the City Council concerning the General Plan Amendments and has filed with
10 the City Council copies of maps and reports relating to the applications ; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto held a public hearing
on December 21 , 1982, and did make a determination that the Land Use Element of
12 the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan should be amended as follows :
13 A. Existing land use patterns will be enhanced by GPA-7-82 being assigned
Ii low medium density residential , 10 18 units per acre; by GPA=8-82
141 being assigned Commercial and Low-medium residential density and
single family designations and GPA-9-82 being assigned Low-medium
1511 density.
16j B. GPA-7-82, GPA-8-82 and GPA-9-82 will enhance the logical' development
of the City.

j C. GPA-7-82, GPA-8-82 and GPA-9-82 allow reasonable and proper use of
18'! property in the vicinity of those amendments.
19 D. No significant environmental impact is expected'from adoption of
GPA-7-82, GPA-8-82 or GPA-9-82.

WHEREAS, advertisement for public hearing on GPA-7-82, GPA-8-82
21 and GPA-9-82 was published in accordance with Article 6, Chapter 3 , of Title 7,
of the Government Code; and

WHEREAS, the Citv Council finds that there will not be a significant im--
23 pact upon the environment by right of these changes and adopts a Negative De
24
claration for General Plan Amendments GPA-7-82, GPA-8-82 and GPA-9-82.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
25 Jacinto that the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan be ,amended to reflect the changes
26 aforementioned for GPA-7-82, GPA-8-82 and GPA-9-82.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 21st day of December,199 11
