1 RESOLUTION NO, 1464'
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO RECITING THE FACT OF THE SPECIAL .MUNI
3 CIPAL ELECTION, CONSOLIDATED:AND HELD IN SAID
CITY ON NOVEMBER ,2, 1982, DECLARING THE RESULTS
4 THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW
5 WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held and conducted in the City
6 of San Jacinto, California, on Tuesday, November 2, 1982, as required by law;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time,
9 form and manner as provided by law; and
10 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1440, adopted June 22, 1982, "the
11 Riverside County Clerk canvassed the returns of said election and has certified
12 the results of this election; said results are received, attached and made a
13 part hereof as Exhibit "A"
14 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN-JACINTO, CALIFORNIA,
15 DOES' HEREBY ;RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
16 Section 1 . That the ballot measure designated "Measure A" is a proposi
17 tion of the City of San Jacinto Police and Fire services upgrade. That as a
18 ! result of said election, a majority of the qualified voters voting on said
19 measure did not vote in favor thereof and that said measure was not carried
20 and shall not be deemed adopted and ratified.
21 Section 2. The City Clerk shall enter in the records of the City Council
22 of said City a statement of the results of said election.
23 Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the preparation` and adoption
24 of thi"s resolution, enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said
25 City and shall make a minute of preparation and adoption thereof and make a
26 record in the minutes of the meeting in which the same is passed and adopted.
27 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 7th day of December 1982�

I. WILLIAM E. CONERLY, County Clerk of said County, do hereby certify
that, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 17081 of the California
Elections Code, I did canvass the returns of the vote cast in said
County at the Consolidated General Election held on November 2, 1982,
for the elective public offices and for and against each measure sub-
mitted to the vote of the voters; and that the Statement of Votes Cast,
to which this certificate is attached, shows the whole number of votes
cast in said County, and the whole number cast for each candidate and
for and against each measure in said County and in each of the respec-
tive precincts therein, and that the totals of the respective columns
and the totals as shown for each candidate and for and against each
measure are full , true and correct.
