2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO DESIGNATING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES AS BEING
3 INCLUDED WITHIN A SURVEY AREA FOR REDEVELOPMENT CON-
SIDERATIONS; AND DIRECTING STAFF, THE PLANNING COM-
4 MISSION AND REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO CONDUCT THE
NECESSARY PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PREPARE THE ,NECESSARY
5 REPORTS FOR CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION OF THE SAN
JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA(S) AND PLAN(S)

7 WHEREAS, ,the City of San Jacinto created the San Jacinto Redevelopment
a Agency;on Play 4th, 1932, by Ordinance No, 725 for purposes of pursuing-rede
9 velopment activities in the community; and
10 WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Jacinto entered into
11 i
i a contract with a redevelopment consultant to formulate a redevelopment pro-
uil gram for the City of San Jacinto; and
13 WHEREAS, the findings and conclusions of previous redevelopment analysis
14 -concluded that redevelopment in the City of San Jacinto is a viable procedural
15 and financial mechanism for eliminating and/or mitigating existing and poten
16 tial physical , social and economic blight through community improvement and
17 enhancement which cannot be expected to be reversed or alleviated by private
18 enterprise acting alone; and
19 j WHEREAS, said analysis further concluded that the City of San Jacinto
20 does not presently have the financial resources to pursue community improve
21 ment and enhancement programs aimed at the elimination of blight.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
23 OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, AS FOLLOWS:
24 i Section 1 , The San Jacinto Redevelopment Survey Area hereinafter referred
25 to as "Survey Area #l " is hereby designated as is set forth in Attachment "A"
26 ,'! and is described as being contiguous to the boundaries of the City of San
27 i'I Jacinto.
28 Section 2. Survey Area #1 is hereby designated For the purpose of fur
29" 'ther study and review to determine and identify a redevelopment projector
30 projects and a redevelopment project area or areas.
31 Section 3.. In cooperation with the Redevelopment Agency, the Staff and
32 Planning Commission are hereby directed to select one or more project areas

1 comprising all or part of the survey area and shall formulate a redevelopment
2 plan for the redevelopment of each selected project area.
3 Section 4; In accordance with the California Community Development Law
4 Sections 33000 et seq. of the California Health and Safety Code, the Staff;,
5 Planning Commission and Redevelopment Agency are hereby directed to conduct
6 the necessary public hearinas, prepare the necessary reports, formulate a pre-
7 liminary and final plan and complete the procedural steps necessary for the
8 approval and adoption of a Redevelopment Plan(s) and Project Area(s) for the
9 City of San Jacinto,
10 Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to transmit
11 a copy of this Resolution to the Planning Commission of the City of San Jacinto
12 and the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency with the request to take the 'necessary
13 and required actions .
14 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of October 1982.
