2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO OPPOSING THE PROPOSED ROUTING
$ OF A 500 KILOVOLT TRANSMISSION LINE THROUGH
SAN JACINTO.

5 WHEREAS, the California Puhlic Utilities Commission is proposing to
approve the construction of theDevers-Valley-Serrano 500 "Kilovolt Transmission
6 Line.
7 WHEREAS, The California Public Utilities Commission is considering
alternate routings for this line.
WHEREAS, The alternate routings include proposed lines through the
9 City limits of San Jacinto and through its sphere of influence.
10 WHEREAS , The proposed linewill aesthetically conflict with the
development standards established by the City of San Jacinto.

WHEREAS, The proposed line will conflict with established and proposed
12 -development within the area.
13 l�1HEREAS, The proposed line will disrupt radio and television signals

in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
16 San Jacinto in its regular session of October_ 5, 1982, opposes any proposed
transmission line through the City of San Jacinto or its sphere of influence.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk provide a copy of this resolution
17 to The California Public Utilities Commission, Thomas Reid and Associates,
and to each State Senator and Assemblyman.

MOVED AND ADOPTED the 5th day of-October 1982, by the following vote:

AYES : Councilmen Rose, Stevens, Divine, Marthaller and Visser
