2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO'CONFIRMING INTENT TO
3 EFFECT TERMINATION OF CALIFORNIA STATE
SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT OF MARCH `1 , 1951

5 11HEREAS, by Resolution No, 1340 the City of San Jacinto signified its in-
6 tent to terminate the Social Security Agreement of February 16, 1951 between the
7 City of San Jacinto and the State of California effective December 31 , 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City understands that once the Social Security Agreement is
9 terminated future social security is not possible; and
10 WHEREAS, by secret ballot the employees voted to terminate the Social Se-
ll curity System by the following votes:
12 34 To withdraw from the Social Security System
13 10 To remain in the Social Security System
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
15 Jacinto as follows:
16 1 . The above facts are true:
17 2. That the City of San Jacinto will "terminate Social Security
18 3. That Ross S. Nammar, City Manager, be and is directed to sign the
19 necessary documents and conduct such negotiations as are necessary to
20 amend the City's contract with the Public Employees Retirement System,
21 4. That the City Clerk be directed to certify to the adoption of this
22 Resolution and to forward a copy to the Public Employees Retirement
23 System,
24 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September` 1982.

6 NOES: None
7 ABSENT: None
8 ABSTAIN: None
