l A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT TO
2 THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE HEMET-SAN JACINTO AREA
PLAN FOR THE SECOND CYCLE OF CALENDAR YEAR 1982

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :

WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the Government Code provides that no _
5 mandatory element of a General Plan shall, be amended more frequently than
-three times during any calendar year, and that the City Council of the City
6 of San Jacinto is amending the Land Use Element of the Hemet-San Jacinth
Area Plan for the second time during the 1982 calendar year; and

WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto Planning Commission held a public
81 hearing on change to the Land Use Element an June 7, 1982, and did adopt
Resolution No. 82-21 making recommendations to the City Council concerning
9 the General Plan Amendment and has filed with the City Council copies of
map and report relating to the application; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto held a public
11 "hearing on August 17, 1982, and did make a determination that the Land Use
Element of the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan should be amended as follows:

A. Existing land use patterns will be enhanced by GPA 6-82 being
13 assigned General Commercial .
14 Be GPA 6-82 will enhance the logical development of the City.
15 C. GPA 6-82 allows reasonable and proper use of property in the
vicinity of the amendment.

D. No significant environmental impact is expected from adoption
17 of GPA 6-82.
18 WHEREAS, advertisement for a public hearing on GPA 6-82 was published
in accordance with Article 6, Chapter 3, , of Title 7, of the Government Code; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there will not be a significant
20 impact upon the environment by right of this change and adopts a Negative
Declaration for General Plan Amendment GPA 6-82.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
22 San Jacinto that the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan be amended to reflect the
change aforementioned for GPA 6-82.
