2 i A RESOLUTION; OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, PROPOSING AND
3 GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE CONSOLIDATED WITH THE GENERAL ELECTION
4 TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 1982, FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
5 OF SAID CITY AN INITIATIVE MEASURE RELATING
TO LEVYING A SPECIAL TAX FOR UPGRADING POLICE
6 AND FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES OF SAID CITY
7 WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority contained in Chapter 397 of the
8 Statutes of 1979, the City Council adopted Ordinance No.
g NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY 'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
10 JACINTO:
11 Section 1 . There shall be and it is hereby ordered a special municipal
12 election to`be consolidated with the general election to be held November 2,
13 1982, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said City the
14 following question, to wit:

16 CITY -0F SAN JACINTO
POLICE AND FIRE SERVICES UPGRADED
17 YES
Shall the City of San Jacinto be
18 authorized to levy a special tax
to upgrade and maintain the pre
19 sent level of police and fire ser-
vice requirements in the amount
20 not to exceed S5 per month for
each dwelling unit and $2.50 for NO
21 each dwelling unit equivalent on
vacant land for the purpose of up-
grading grading police and fire prevention
and protection.

24 Section 2. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside be
25 and it is hereby requested to consolidate the special municipal election to be
26" held in said City on November 2, 1982, with the State-wide general election to
27 be held on said date and to issue to all officers of said County charged with
28` duties pertaining to said State-wide election instructions to take any and all
29' steps for the,holding of said consolidated election;
39 Section 3. That the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to canvass
31 the returns of said special municipal election, and said election shall be held
32 in all respects as if it were only one election, and only one ballot shall be
1 issued.
2 Section 4, The City of San Jacinto shall reimburse the County of River-
3 side in full for such services rendered:
4- Section 5; That the City Clerk of said City of San;Jacinto is hereby
5 directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Board of 'Super
6 visors of said County and with the County Clerk of said County;'
7 ( MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of June 1982.
