2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO,-CALIFORNIA, ,COMMENDING BERTHA J. HAZELTINE*
FORMER MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAN JACINTO,
CALIFORNIA, AND EXPRESSING THANKS AND APPRECIATION
4 FOR HER EXEMPLARY SERVICE RENDERED TO SAID CITY
5 WHEREAS, Bertha J. Hazeltine has heretofore submitted her resignation from
6 the Council of the City of San Jacinto, California; and
7 WHEREAS, said Bertha J. Hazeltine has "rendered in excess of eight years of
g exemplary and competent counsel in direction of the affairs of the City of San
9 Jacinto, California; and
10` WHEREAS, said Bertha J. Hazeltine deserves the respect, admiration, grati
11 tude and thanks of the City of San Jacinto, California, and all its residents;
12 NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
13 Jacinto, California, hereby does on behalf of itself and all of the residents
14 of the City of San Jacinto, California, commend the said Bertha J. Hazeltine
15 for her many years of loyal , conscientious and dedicated service and does here- '
16 by on behalf ofitself and .all of the residents of San Jacinto, California,
17 tender its thanks and gratitude for these years of service and express regret
is at the very real loss of her counsel , wisdom and guidance.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a plaque bearing the seal of, the city of San
20 Jacinto be presented to said Bertha J. Hazeltine as a token of the City's ap-
21 preciation for her exemplary service as the City's first Councilwoman and Mayor.
22' - BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed to ar-
23 range for -a 'copy of this resolution to -be appropriately drafted and perma-plaque
24 for presentation to said Bertha J. Hazeltine.
25 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of May 1982
