2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT TO
3 THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF-,THE HEMET-SAN JACINTO AREA
PLAN FOR THE FIRST CYCLE Of CALENDAR YEAR 1982
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the Government Code provides that no mandatory
6 element of a General Plan shall be amended more frequently than three times dur-
ing any calendar year, and that the City Council of the City of San Jacinto is
71, amending the Land Use Element of the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan for the first
time during the 1982 calendar year; and

WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto Planning Commission held a;public hearing
9 on change to the Land Use Element on April 5, 1982, and did adopt Resolution No.
82-16 making recommendations to the City Council concerning the General Plan
1Q Amendment and has filed with the City Council copies of map and report relating
to the application; and
11 j WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto held a public hear-
' 1 ing on April 20, 1982, and did make a determination that the Land Use Element of
h the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan should be amended as follows:
13 A. Existing land use patterns will be enhanced by GPA 5-82 being assigned
14 '
Neighborhood Commercial .
15 B. GPA-5-82 will enhance the logical development of the City.
16 C. GPA-5-82 allows reasonable and proper use of property in the vicinity
of the amendment.
17 D. No significant environmental impact is expected from adoption of
18 GPA-5-82.
19 WHEREAS, advertisement for a public hearing on GPA-5-82 was published in
accordance with Article 6, Chapter 3, of Title 7, of the Government Code; and
20 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there will not be a significant im-
21 pact upon the environment by right of this change and adopts a Negative Declara-
tion for General Plan Amendment GPA-5-82.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
23 Jacinto that the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan be amended to reflect the change
aforementioned for GPA-5-82,
24 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 20th day of April 1982.
