2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN,JACINTO AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
3 OF A CONTRACT WITH THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY
4i PATROL FOR ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT.
5 WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code Sections 9250.7 and 22710 pro-
6 vide for an Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund and a method of disbursement of funds
7 to local agencies that participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Pro-
8 gram; and
9 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, has adopted an Ordinance
10 ;in accordance with the California Vehicle Code providing for the Abatement
11' of Abandoned Vehicles; and
12 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, desires to participate
13 in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and share in the monies in said
14 Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Jacinto parti-
16 cipate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program January 1, 1982 through
17 June 30, 1982;
18 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized
19 to execute the contract with the Department of California Highway Patrol for
20 participation in said Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program.
21 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the second day of March, 1982 by the
22 following vote:
23 AYES: Councilman Visser, Rose; Stevens , Divine and Hazeltine
24 NOES: None
25 ABSENT: None
