2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE AN-
NEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO WITHOUT AN ELECTION

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto adopted Resolution No.
5
1394, acknowledging receipt of the petition for annexation, consented to such an-
6
nexation and authorized the submittal of the appropriate application to the
7
Local Agency Formation Commission; and
8
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission by Resolution No. 43-81 ,
9
dated November 12, 1981 , designated the City of San Jacinto as the conducting
10
authority and authorized the annexation designated Local Agency Formation Com-
11
mission 81 -45-3 to proceed to the terms and conditions of the Government Code
12
Section 35000 et seq; and
13
WHEREAS, on December 8, 1981 , the City Council of the City of San Jacinto
14
adopted Resolution No. 1417 initiating proceedings for this annexation; and
15
WHEREAS, the City Council , acting as the conducting authority, opened the
16
public hearing on January 19, 1982, and after receiving oral and written testi-
17
mony, closed the public hearing on said date; and
18
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has evaluated the sufficiency and value of written
19
and oral protests filed and not withdrawn in accordance with Government Code
20
commencing with Section 35000.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
22
Jacinto finds, declares and determines as follows:

1 . That no valid written protest was filed and not withdrawn from property
24
owners or registered voters within the affected territory.
25 I 2. The value of oral protests filed and not withdrawn regarding this pro-
26
posed annexation at the public hearing represents less than 25 percent of the
27 i number of owners of land and less than 25 percent of the total assessed valuation
28
within the affected territory.

3. The City Council declares that no majority protest has been made with
30 respect to Annexation No. 42, and the territory is hereby ordered annexed to
31
the City of San Jacinto.

1 4. The territory referred to herein is described as set forth in Exhibits
2 "A" and "B", attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to take the necessary steps to com-
4 plete this annexation as required by the Government Code.
5 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held
6 the 19th day of January 1982, by the following vote:
7 AYES: Councilmen Rose, Stevens, Visser, Divine and Hazeltine
8 NOES: None
9 ABSENT: None
10 ABSTAIN: None
