Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 1413 1 RESOLUTION NO. 1413 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO 3 THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TER- RITORY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED AND DESIGNATING THE 4 SAME AS CITY OF SAN JACINTO ANNEXATION NO. 41 5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 6 Section 1 . That it does hereby find and declare as follows: 7 A. That an application for approval of a proposal for the initiation of g proceedings for the annexation of territory hereinafter identified and described 9 as Annexation No, 41 to the City of San Jacinto, County of Riverside, State of 10 California, was filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission, Reference No. 11 81 -32-3. 12 B. That the said Local Agency Formation Commission, after a hearing held 13 in the manner required by law, the application for annexation of the territory 14 hereinafter described by metes and bounds to the City of San Jacinto, 15 C. That said annexation was approved in accordance with law and further 16 provided that the City Council of the City of San Jacinto was designated conduct- 17 ing authority, and authorized to proceed with notice and public hearing in the 18 manner required by law. 19 D. That a written petition containing the required signatures and a de- 20 scription of the uninhabited territory hereinafter described has been presented 21 to the City Council of the City of San Jacinto requesting annexation under the 22 Municipal Organization Act of 1978, as amended. 23 E. That said petition has been signed or consent hereto has been filed 24 by the majority owners of the land in the I:erritos,y proposed to be annexed . 25 Section 2. That said petition contains a description of certain unin- 25 habited territory sought to be included and annexed to the City of San Jacinto 27 and that said petition is signed by the majority owners of all the land in the 28 j territory by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assess- 29 ment roll of the County of Riverside in which County the City of San Jacinto 30 is situated. 31 Section 3. That the City Council hereby declares that said petition has 32 ; been signed or consent to the proposed annexation filed by the majority owners r -1- i I of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed. 2 Section 4. The City Council pursuant to Resolution No. 1408, adopted the 3 6th day of October 1981 , held a public hearing at the hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 4 17th day of November 1981 , hereby declares that no majority protest has been 5 made with respect to Annexation No. 41 . 6 Section 5. That the territory proposed to be annexed to the City is un- 7 inhabited territory as defined by the Government Code and is contiguous to the 8 boundaries of the City. 9 Section 6. That the aforementioned uninhabited territory included in the 10 proposed annexation is hereby designated and hereafter shall be known as 'Annexa- 11 tion No. 41 . 12 Section 7. That upon the completion of said annexation all of the property 13 included therein shall be taxed according to the terms and conditions which are 14 presently imposed on similar annexations to the City of San Jacinto and as may 15 be authorized by law. 16 Section 8. That it does hereby approve the annexation to the City of San 17 Jacinto of that certain real property located in the County of Riverside, State 18 of California, designated as Annexation No. 41 , and more particularly described 19 , as set forth in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and made a part hereof. 20 � Section 9. '41 CITY OF SAN JACINTO (LAFCO NO. 81 -32-3) The East one-half of the East one-half of Farm Lot 75 of the lands of the San Jacinto Land Association as shown by Map on file in Book 8 of Maps, Page 357 , Records of San Diego County, California, lying within Section 2 , Township 5 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the centerline intersection of Esplanade Avenue and Santa Fe Street, said intersection being also the Northwest corner of said Farm Lot 75 and the Northwest corner of said Section 2; Thence South 89°55 ' 30" East along said centerline of Esplanade Avenue, being also along the North line of Farm Lot 75 and the existing boundary line of the City of San Jacinto, a distance of 994 . 47 feet to the North,;-�st corner of said East one-half of the East one-half of Lot 75, the True Point of Beginning; Thence continuing South 89°55 ' 30" East along said centerline of Esplanade Avenue, being also along said North line of Farm Lot 75 and the existing boundary line of the City of San Jacinto, a distance of 331. 49 feet to an inter- section with the centerline of San Jacinto _Avenue , said intersection being also the Northeast corner of said Farm Lot 75 and an angle point in the existing boundary line of the City of San Jacinto; Thence South 00,00 , 19" West along said centerline of San Jacinto Avenue , being also along the East line of said Farm Lot 75 and existing boundary line of the City of San Jacinto, a distance of 660 . 08 feet to the Southeast corner of said Farm Lot 75; Thence North 89°56 ' 17" West along the South line of said Farm Lot 75 a distance of 331 . 47 feet to the Southwest corner of the aforesaid East one-half_ of the East one-half of Farm Lot 75; Thence North 00'00 ` 13" East along the west line of said East one-half of the East one-half of Farm Lot 75 a distance a of 660. 16 feet to the True Point of Beginning .
