2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO SUPPORTING SENATE BILL
3 NO. 215 REGARDING TRANSPORTATION FINANCING
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, there is a recognized transportation funding crisis in the
6 State of California; and

WHEREAS, road maintenance costs have accelerated disproportionately to
8 the growth in revenue due to inflation; and
9 WHEREAS, reduced maintenance levels resulting in further deterioration
10 of the street and highway system; and
11 WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 215 has been enacted which provides:
12
(1 ) Increase the gasoline tax by two (2) cents a gallon, and
13
(2) Increase truck weight, driver's license and vehicle
14 registration fees
15 to save the highway system.
16 The City Council does hereby lend its support and approval to this
17II measure.
18 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of November 1981 by the follow-
19 ing vote:
20 AYES: Councilmen Visser, Rose, Stevens, Divine and Hazeltine
21 NOES: None
22 ABSENT: None
