2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TER-
3 RITORY TO THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, KNOWN AS ANNEXATION
NO. 41 , AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION
4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto adopted Resolution No.
5 1366 acknowledging receipt of the petition for annexation, consented to such an-
nexation and authorized the submittal of the appropriate application to the Local
8 Agency Formation Commission; and
7 WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission by Resolution No. 35-81 dated
September 10, 1981 , designated the City of San Jacinto as the conducting author-
8 ity and authorized the annexation to proceed subject to the terms and conditions
which proceedings imposed on similar annexations to the City and is authorized
9 to proceed with notice and hearing in accordance with Government Code Section
35000 et seq; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto desires to initiate,
11 conduct and complete proceedings for Annexation No. 41 as approved.
32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto finds, declares and determines as follows:
13 1 . The distinctive short form designation for this proposal assigned by
1d the Local Agency Formation Commission is LAFCO No. 81-32-3, the boundaries of
which are described in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and are a part hereof.
15 2. The reasons for the proposed annexation are as follows :
16 a. The territory to be annexed is contiguous to the boundaries of the
17 City of San Jacinto and has been identified by the petitioners to

be in need of a higher level of municipal services.
18 b. The City of San Jacinto is capable and willing to extend a higher
19 level of municipal services to the territory.
2Q ! c. The residents and landowners will benefit from the extension of a
higher level of municipal services.
21 3. The Local Agency Formation Commission held its public hearing of the
22 proposed annexation on September 10, 1981, and adopted Resolution No. 35-81 making
a determination approving the proposal as submitted .
23 4. A public hearing shall be held in the Council Chambers at 209 E. Main
24 Street, San Jacinto, California, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 17th day of
November 1981 , to determine whether or not the said Annexation No. 41 should be
25 I ordered to change the boundaries of the City of San Jacinto.
26 5. Any owner of the land or any registered voters within said Annexation
No. 41 may file a written protest to the proposed annexation with the City Clerk
27 of San Jacinto at the City Offices, 201 E. Main Street, or by mail to Post Of-
fice Box 488, San Jacinto, California, any time prior to the conclusion of the
public hearing.
09 28 6. The City Clerk shall cause notice to be published in the Valley Register
IQ a newspaper of general circulation in the City of San Jacinto, County of River-
30 side, State of California, posted and mailed as required by law and shall certify
as required by law.
