A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
1 I JACINTO INITIATING PRDCEEDINS OF INHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF SAN JACIDFIO, KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO.
40 AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION

[fiEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto adopted Resolution
4
No. 1382 acknowledging receipt of the petition for annexation, consented to
5 such annexation and authorized the submittal of the appropriate application
to the Local Agency Formation CcnTdssion; and
8 V%iEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission by Resolution No. 30-81
7 dated August 13, 1981, designated the City of San Jacinth as the conducting
authority and authorized the annexation to proceed subject to the terms and
conditions which proceedings imposed on similar annexations to the City and
8 is authorized to proceed with notice and hearing in accordance to Goverrnnent
Code Section 35000 et. seq. , and

MEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto desires to initi-
10 ate, conduct, and complete proceedings for Annexation No. 40 as approved.
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto finds, declares, and deter-nines as follows:

1. The distinctive short form designation for this proposal assigned
3-3 by the Local Agency Formation Commission is LAFCO No, 81-29-3, the boundaries
of which are described. in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and are a part hereof.

2. The reasons for the proposed annexation are as follows:
16 ,
a. The territory to be annexed is contiguous to the bound-
16 aries of the City of San Jacinto and has been identified
by the petitioners to be in need of a higher level of
17 municipal services.
18 b. The City of San Jacinto is capable and willing to extend
a higher level of municipal services to the territory.

C. The residents and landowners will benefit from the ex-
20 tension of a higher level of municipal service.
21 3, The Local Agency Formation Commission held its public hearing of
the proposed annexation on August 13, 1981, and adopted Resolution No. 23-81
22 making determination approving the proposal as submitted.
23 4. A public hearing shall be held in the Council Chambers at 209
East Main Street, San Jacinto, California, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. on the
24 f 3rd day of November, 1981, to determine whether or not the said Annexation
No. 40 should be ordered to change the boundaries of the City of San Jacinto.

5. Any owner of the land or any registered voters within said Annex-
26 anon No. 40 may file a written protest to the proposed annexation with the

City Clerk of San Jacinto at the C
27 ! mail to Post Office Box 488, San Jacinto, California, any time prior to the
conclusion of the public hearing.

6. The City Clerk shall cause notice to be published in the valley
29 Register, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of San Jacinto,
County of Riverside, State of California, posted and mailed as required by
30 law and all certify as required by law.

CITY OF SAN JACINTO
That portion of Sections 34 and 35, Township 4 South,
Range 1 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian described as
follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Section 34 ,
said Southwest corner being also thy: centerline intersection
of Palm Avenue and Esplanade Avenue_;
Thence Northerly along the West line of said Section 34
a distance of 2 ,640 feet, more or less, to the Northwest
corner of the South one-half of said Section 34 , said North-
west corner being also a point on the centerline of Seventh
Street;
Thence Easterly along said centerline- of Seventh Street,
being also along the North line of said South one-half of
Section 34 , a distance of 661. 95 feet to an intersection
with the centerline of Grand Avenue;
Thence Northerly along said centerline of Grand Avenue
a distance of 660.03 feet to the Southeast corner of Annex-
ation No. 30 to the City of San Jacinto;
Thence continuing Northerly along said centerline of
Grand Avenue, being also along the Easterly line of said
Annexation No. 30, a distance of 1. 06 feet to an angle point
in said centerline of Grand Avenue, being also an angle
point in said Easterly line of Annexation No. 30;
Thence Northeasterly along said centerline of Grand
Avenue, and the Easterly line of said Annexation No. 30 , a
distance of 21 feet, more or less, to the most Westerly
corner of Annexation No. 34 to the City of San Jacinto;
Thence Southeasterly along the boundary line of said
Annexation No. 34 a distance of 680 feet, more or less, to
an angle paint in said boundary line, said angle point being
also a point on the centerline of Date Street, vacated;
Thence Northeasterly along said boundary line of Annex-
ation No. 34 , being also along said centerline of Date
Street, vacated, a distance of 531 feet, more or less, to an
angle point in the boundary line of Annexation No. 16 to the
City of San Jacinto;
Thence Southeasterly along said boundary line a distance
of 630 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said boundary
line;
Thence Northeasterly along said boundary line a distance
of 36.. 12 feet (formerly recorded as 26 .12 feet) to an inter-
section with a line that is parallel with and 150. 00 feet
North of the aforesaid centerline of Seventh Street, said
intersection being also an angle point in said boundary line
of Annexation No. 16;
Thence Easterly along said parallel line, being also
along said boundary line , a distance of 264 feet, more or
less, to an angle point in said boundary line;
Thence Southerly along said boundary line a distance of
150.00 feet to an intersection with the aforesaid centerline
of Seventh Street, said intersection being also an angle
point in said boundary line of Annexation No. 16 ;
Thence Easterly along said centerline, being also along
said boundary line of Annexation No. 16 , a distance of 857
feet, more or less , to the Southeast corner of said Annex-
ation No. 16;
Thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said Annex-
ation No. 16 a distance of 50. 00 feet to an intersection
with the North right-of-way line of said Seventh Street,
said intersection being also an angle point in the existing
boundary line of the City of San Jacinto;
Thence Easterly along said North right-of-way line, and
its Easterly prolongation, being also along the existing

erly prolongation of the East right-of-way line of Santa Fe
Street, said intersection being also an angle point in the

more or less, to an intersection with the North line of
Annexation No. 1 to the City of San Jacinto;
