1 RESOLUTION NO. 1401

3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO AS FOLLOWS:
4 WHEREAS, it has been a long tradition for Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger,
5 as part of his costume to wear a mask; and
6 WHEREAS, throughout the years, the Lone Ranger was recognized and iden-
7 tified by this unique disguise; and
$. WHEREAS, the Lone Ranger has consistently promoted law and order and by
91ihis example children of all ages have become his followers; and
10 WHEREAS, by Court Order the Lone Ranger can no longer carry on the long-
standing tradition of wearing his mask in public.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
13 Jacinto hereby supports Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger, in his effort to regain
14 his right to wear the traditional mask as part of his costume at public affairs .
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED 'that the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
16 the subject resolution to other cities within California asking them to support
17 Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger, to regain his right to wear his mask at public
lg affairs.
19 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of San Jacinto at a
20 regular meeting held the 4th day of August 1981 .
