2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JA-
CINTO APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1980 STATE GRANT
3 MONIES. PROJECT:' GROUP PICNIC SHELTER - MISTLETOE- PARK
4 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California
5 _Parklands Act of 1980 which provides funds to the'State 'of California and its
political subdivisions for acquiring lands and for developing facilities for
f public recreation and historical_purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State' Department of 'Parks and Recreation has been delegated
the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, set-
ting up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the
8 program; and
9 WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and
Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of ap-
10 plication prior to submission of said applications to the state; and
11 WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant must com
12
ply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with the State
13 of California for the acquisition and/or development of the project;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Jacinto
15 1 . Approves the filing of an application for 1980 state grant assistance
16 for group picnic shelter development project; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certification
17 in the application; and
18 3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate
and maintain the project; and

4. Certifies that said agency has reviewed and understands, the General .Pro
20 visions contained in the state/local agreement; and
21 Appoints the City Manager as agent of the city to conduct all negotia-
tions, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to applica-
22 tions, agreements, amendments, payment requests and soon which may be necessary
for the completion of the aforementioned project.
