A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
3 OF A CONTRACT WITH THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY
PATROL FOR ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT

5 WHEREAS, the California.Vehicle Code Sections 9250.7 and 22710 provide
6 for an Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund and a method of disbursement of funds to
7 lgcal agencies that participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program; and
g WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, has adopted an Ordinance
g in accordance with the California Vehicle Code providing for the Abatement of
10 Abandoned Vehicles; and
11 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto, California, desires to participate in
12 the' Abandoned -Vehicle Abatement Program and share in the monies in said Abandoned
13 Vehicle Trust Fund.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Jacinto participate
15 in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program July 1 , 1980 through June 30, 1981 .
16 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
17 execute the contract with the Department of California Highway Patrol for
18
participation in said Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program.
19 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 7th day of October 1980 by the following
20 vote:
21 AYES: Councilmen Rose, Stevens, Divine and Hazeltine
22 NOES: None
23 ABSENT: Councilman Visser
