A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING SEP-
3 TEMBER 14 THROUGH 20, 1980, CONSTITUTION WEEK
4 WHEREAS, the 193rd anniversary of the United States Constitution will be
611 Wednesday, September 17, 19801 and September 14 through September 20 by tradition
6 and by Public Law is observed as Constitution Week nationally; and
7 WHEREAS; in this Presidential elecaion year, with millions of young people
8 eligible to vote for the first time, the historic importance of our basic govern-
9 ing document is more significant than ever and
10 WHEREAS, the Constitution Week Observance Committee in Southern California
11 is again joining with other groups in pointing up the courage and wisdom of our
12 forefathers in trying days surrounding September 16 , 1787; and
13 WHEREAS, the Constitution also will be honored by schools, courts and
14 religious and patriotic groups;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, C.ALIFORNIA,
16 DOES PROCLAIM the week of September 14 through 20, 1980, as Constitution Week
17 and urges all citizens of said City to re-read the Constitution which is the
18 - foundation of this great nation.
19 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 2nd day of September 1980.
