A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 'SAN.
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE
g APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS_UNDER THE,STATE LITTER
CONTROL, RECYCLING AND RESOURCE RECOVERY FUND

WHEREAS , the Legislature of the State of California has enacted the State
5
Litter Control , Recycling and Resource Recovery Act which provides funds to cer
g
tain entities for litter cleanup , litter law enforcement, litter education and
7
purchase of litter receptacles; and
WHEREAS, the State Solid Waste Management Board has been delegated the

responsibility for the administration of the program, setting up necessary pro-
10
cedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and
11
WHEREAS , said procedures established by the State Solid Waste Management
12
Board require the applicant to certify the approval of applications prior to
13
submission of said applications to the State;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San`
15
Jacinto:
16
1 . Approves the filing of an application for funding under the Litter
17
Control, Recycling and Resource Recovery Fund; and
18 2. Certifies that said agency understands the general provisions of the
_19
grant agreement; and
20 3. Authorizes the City Manager as agent of the City of San Jacinto to
21
conduct all negotiations , execute and submit all documents including
22 but not limited to applications,_grant agreements, amendments and
23
payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the
24 aforementioned program.
25 APPROVED AND ADOPTED the 19th day of August 1980. ;
