2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL_OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE
3 RAISED FROM PROPERTY TAXATION FOR DEBT SERVICE REQUIRE-
MENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1 , 1980,
4 AND FIX THE PROPERTY TAX RATE TO RAISE SUCH MONIES
5 WHEREAS. the said Revenue and Taxation Code , Section 2237(a) , provides that
a City may only levy such property rates as may be necessary to cover annual debt
6 service requirements for bonds approved by the voters 'prior to July 1 , 1978; and
7 WHEREAS , the amount of money required for the 1980-81 fiscal year annual debt
service amounts to $32 ,700.00 for Municipal Improvement 1961 Waterwork Bond; and

WHEREAS, the County Auditor of Riverside County has provided to the City of
9 San Jacinto a statement showing the total assessed valuation of all property with-
in the City ascertained from the assessment books of said County for the 1980-81
10 fiscal year is equalized and corrected as follugs:

Total value $20,072,351

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Jacin-
13 to as follows:
14 Section 1 . That the amount of money to be raised by taxation upon the tax-
able property within the City of San Jacinto as cash revenue to cover the fiscal
- 15 year 1980-81 debt service requirements in accordance with the California Revenue
and Taxation Code, Section 2237(2) is hereby fixed at $32,700.00:

Section 2. That the rate of tax for the fiscal year beginning July 1 , 1980,
17 for debt service requirements for the City of San Jacinto 1980-81 fiscal year is
hereby fixed at 16c upon each $100 of the value of the property therein assessed,

Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution
19 and shall cause the same to be published in the Valley Register, a' newspaper `of
aeneral circulation printed and published- in, the County of Riverside, State of
20 California, in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of ordinances of
said City, and the same shall thereupon take effect as provided by law. .
