CITY OF SAN JACINTO
] WHEREAS the Health Department of the County of Riverside has found
2 large numbers of mosquitoes to be positive for encephalitis virus which can
3 be transmitted to humans and horses in San Jacinto City in the past ;
4 AND WHEREAS large numbers of such disease-carrying mosquitoes will
5 be breeding in bodies of water in and near the City of San Jacinto;
6 AND WHEREAS the City Council of San Jacinto is desirous of having
7 such proven vectors of disease reduced in number so as to minimize transmission
8 of encephalitis to humans and horses ;
9 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of San Jacinto
10 urge the Northwest Mosquito Abatement District to enter into the Joint Powers
11 Agreement with the County of Riverside to control mosquitoes in and around
12 the City of San Jacinto.
13 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 9th day of April 1980.
