1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT TO
2 THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE HEMET-SAN JACINTO AREA
PLAN FOR THE SECOND CYCLE OF CALENDAR YEAR 1983.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the Government Code provides that no manda-
5 tory element of a General Plan shall be amended more frequently than three
times during any calendar year, and that the City Council of the City of
6 San Jacinto is amending the Land Use Element of the Hemet-San Jacinto Area
Plan for the second time during the 1983 calendar year; and

WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto Planninn Commission held a public
8 hearing on change to the Land Use Element on August 1 , 1983 and October 3,
1983 and did adopt Resolution No. 83-32 and making recommendations to the
9 City Council concerning the General Plan Amendment and has filed with the
City Council copies of map and report relating to the application; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto held a public
11 hearing on November 8, 1983, and made a determination that the Land Use
Element on the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan should be amended as follows :

A. Existinq land use patterns will be enhanced by GPA 5-83
13 being assigned Single Family Density.
14 B. GPA 5-83 will enhance the logical development of the City.
15 C. GPA 5-83 allows reasonable and proper use of property in the
vicinity of the amendment.

D. No significant environmental impact is expected from adoption
17 of GPA 5-83.
18 WHEREAS, advertisement for a public hearing on GPA 5-83 was published
in accordance with Article 6, Chapter 3, of Title 7, of the Government
19 Code; and
20 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there will not be a significant
impact upon the environment by right of this change and adopts a Negative
21 Declaration for General Plan Amendment 5-83.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto, that the Hemet-San Jacinto Area Plan be amended to reflect the
23 change aforementioned for General Plan Amendment 5-83 as noted by Exhibit "A" ,
attached.
