2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING MAYOR
3 WAYNE J. STUART THE CITY'S OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE
TO THE UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
6 AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS the people of San Jacinto desire world peace; and
8 WHEREAS they believe the best opportunity for ensuring peace lies in
9 better understanding between the peoples of the world; and
10 14HEREAS the San Jacinto Valley Museum Association is sponsoring a visit
11 by San Jacinto Valley citizens to the Soviet Union to honor Soviet aviators
12 who visited San Jacinto in 1937; and
13 14HEREAS this visitation affords opportunity for the good people of the
14 San Jacinto Valley to extend a hand of friendship to the hood people of the
15 Soviet Union

16 P1OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
17 Jacinto, that Mayor Wayne J. Stuart, as representative of the Council , be
18 charged with responsibility to take greetings and good wishes of the people
19 of San Jacinto to the citizens of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics .
20 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 7th day of Pugust 1984.
