2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA OBJECTING TO THE
3 PUBLIC SALE OF ASSESSOR'S PARCEL N0. 437-142-
J13-3 AND OFFERING TO PURCHASE THE PARCEL AT
4 A PRICE OF R75O0 AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC.
PURPOSE TO BE THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR
AFFORDABLE HOUSING PURSUANT TO THE CITY'S
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN

7 WHEREAS, a parcel of land identified as Assessor's Parcel No.
437-142-013-3 has been deemed subject to public sale for non-payment of
8 taxes and said parcel of land lies within the jurisdictional boundaries
of the City of San Jacinto; and,

10 WHEREAS, the public sale of said parcel could result in reduced
chances for affordable houses to residences of the City of San Jacinto
11 because market prices must be passed on to the purchaser of a home
built on this lot.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
13 of San Jacinto as follows :
14 1 . That the City of San Jacinto objects to the public sale of
the subject property described as Assessor' s Parcel No. 437-142-013-3
15 and lying between lot 28 and 30 of the Miraflor Subdivision Number 2
as recorded in San Diego County Book of Maps No. 23, page 37 , San Diego.

2. That acquisition of the property in question is in the public
17 interest for the purpose of building affordable housing pursuant to the
City' s Redevelopment Plan.

3. That the City of San Jacinto hereby offers to purchase said
19 property for the purchase price of $7500 as declared by the Riverside
County Treasurer and Tax Collector.

PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 2Oth day of September 1983
21 by the following vote:
22 AYES: Councilmen Visser, Rose, Divine, Stevens and Marthaller
23 NOES: None
