2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF
3 THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8 , 1988 , FOR
4 THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS
REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE
5 OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES AND
FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SAID
G CITY OF A QUESTION RELATING TO APPOINTMENT OF CITY
CLERK AND CITY TREASURER BY THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS , under the provisions of the laws relating to general
8 law cities in the State of California, a regular general municipal
election shall be held on November 8 , 1988 for the election of
91 2 members of the City Council of said City for the full term
1 C) of four years ; and
j WHEREAS , the City Council of said City also desires to submit
& Ito the qualified electors of said City at said election the
question relating to appointment of City Clerk and City Treasurer
12 by the City Council hereinafter set forth;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
ICALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE , DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
14 IAS FOLLOWS:

I5 section 1. That said City Council, pursuant to its right
land authority so to do, does hereby determine that there shall
16ibe and there is hereby ordered submitted to the qualified electors
!of said City at said regular general municipal election the
if following question, to wit :
18 Shall the Offices of City Clerk

and City Treasurer be appointive

by the City Council

A cross ( + ) placed in the voting square after the word
22 ,°'YES" in the manner hereinbefore provided shall be counted in
favor of the adoption question. A cross ( + ) placed in the voting
23 ,square after the word "NO" in the manner hereinbefore provided
,shall be counted against the adoption of the question.

Section 3 . That the ballots to be used at said election
Glshall be, both as to form and matter contained therein , such
!as may be required by law to be used thereat .
Section 4 . That the City Clerk of said City is hereby
71jauthorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any
TSjand all official ballots , notices , printed matter and all
supplies , equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary
29 in order to properly and lawfully conduct said election.
Section 5 . That the polls for said election shall be open
10 at seven o ' clock a.m. of the day of said election and shall
31 remain open continuously from said time until 8 o' clock p.m.
of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provide
s$ oin Section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California.

I Section 6 . That in all particulars not recited in this
Resolution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided
2 by law for holding municipal elections in said City.
j Section 7 . That notice of the time and place of holding
said election is hereby given, and the City Clerk is hereby
41 authorized , instructed and directed to give such further or
( additional notice of said election in time , form and manner
as required by law.
6 Section 8 . That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the
7 book of original Resolutions of said City and shall make a
minute of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 21st day of June 1988.
