2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO REOUESTING THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OFFICE OF
3 RIVERSIDE COUNTY TO CONSOLIDATE A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION OF SAID CITY TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 8 1988
4 WITH ANY OTHER ELECTION BEING HELD IN THE SAME TERRITORY
WITH THE SAME VOTERS AND TO BE HELD ON THE SAME DATE
5 PURSUANT TO SECTION 23302 OF THE ELECTION CODE
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto called a General
7 Municipal Election in said City to be held November 8, 1988 for the purpose
8 of the election of two (2) Members of the City Council ; and
9 WHEREAS , it is desirable that said general municipal election be consoli-
10 dated with any other election being held in the same territory, with the same
11 voters and to be held on the same date, and that within said City the precincts
12 polling places and election officers of the two elections be the same, that
13 the Registrar of the County of Riverside canvass the returns of the general
14 municpal election and that any other election being held in the same territory
15 with the same voters and to be held on the same date, and the general municipal
16 election be held in all respects as if there were only one election.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY
18 RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
19 Section 1 . That pursuant to the requirements of Section 23302 of the
20 Elections Code, the Registrar of Voters of the County of Riverside is hereby
21 requested to consent and agree to the consolidation of a general municipal
22 election with any other election being held in the same territory, with the
23 same voters and to be held on the same date, Tuesday, November 8, 1988 for
24 the purpose of election of two (2) Members of the City Council .
25 Section 2. Said Registrar is hereby authorized to canvass the returns of
26 said general municipal election which is hereby requested to consolidate with
27 any other election being held in the same territory, with the same voters and
28 to be held on the same date, and said election shall be held in all respects
29 as if there were only one election, and only one form of ballot shall be used.
30 Section 3. The City of San Jacinto recognizes that additional costs will
31 be incurred by the County by reason of this consolidation and agrees to reim-

32 burse the County for any such costs.

1 Section 4. That the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto is hereby
2 directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Registrar of
3 Voters of Riverside County.
4 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day June 1988.
