2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL
3 MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 8, 1988, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS
4 OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES

WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General Law Cities
6
in the State of California, a regular municipal election shall be held on Nov-

ember 8, 1988, for the election of two (2) Members of the City Council of said
8
City for the full term of four years.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA,

DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 . That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of
12
California relating to General Law Cities within said State, there shall be,
13
and there is hereby called and ordered, held in the City of San Jacinto, Cali-
14
fornia, on Tuesday, November 8, 1988, a regular municipal election of the
15
qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing two (2) Members
16
of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years.

Section 2. That the ballots to be used at such election shall be, both
18
19 as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be required by law to be
used thereat.

Section 3. That the election services which the City of San Jacinto
21
requests the County Clerk or Register of Voters or such other County Official
22
as may be appropriate to perform, and which such officer is hereby authorized
23
and directed to perform if the Board of Supervisors consents , include: the
24
preparation, printing and mailing of sample ballots and polling place cards ;
25
26 the establishment or appointment of precincts , polling places and election
27

officers , the furnishing of ballots , voting booths and other necessary sup-
/ plies or materials for polling places , the canvassing of the returns of elec-
28
tion and the furnishing of the results of such canvassing to the City Clerk
29
30 of the City of San Jacinto; and the performance of such other election services
as may be requested by said City Clerk that may be necessary in order to
31
properly and lawfully conduct said election.

1 Section 4. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven (7)
2 o'clock a.m. of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously
3 from said time until eight (8) o'clock p.m. of the same day when said polls
4 shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections Code of
5 the State of California.
6 Section 5. That in all particulars not recited in this Resolution, said
7 election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal
8 elections in said City.
9 Section 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is
10 hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed
11 to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time, form and
12 manner as required by law.
13 Section 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
14 of this Resolution; shall make a minute of passage and adoption thereof in the
15 records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes
16 of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
