A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF SAN 3ACINTO
3 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SAN JACINTOx KNOWN AS ANNEXATION
41 NO , 56 AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNE8ATIDW.
M WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Ban J�cin�o
adopted Resolution No . 1727 acknowledging recc=-�ipt of the
7 petition for annexation, consented to such annexation and
auhhorized the submittal of the appropri�te application to
8 the Local Agency Formation Commission; and
9 WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission by
Resolution No . 34-88 dated April 71, 1989 designated the
10 City of San Jacinto as the conducting authc)rity and
: authorized the annexation to proceed subject to the torms
11 and cond-itions which proceedings imposed on similar
^~ annematimns to the City and is authorized, to proceed with
1� notice and hearing in accordance with Government Code
Section 57008 et ., seq . ; and

WHEREAS: the City� Council of the City of San ]acint�
]4 desires to initlatex conduct an� complete proceedinys for
Annexation No . 56 as approved .
NOW, THEREF0RE� BE IT RESOLVED that the Cit� Councll
16 of the City of San Jacinto finds , declares �nd determines
as fallows :
l , The distinctive 7,hort form designation for this
�� �roposal assigned by the Local Agency Form�tion Commission
is LAFCO 01 tho bounJ,-��ri�s �f which ars de�crlbed
in »Ezhibit A" attached h2reto and are a part h�nreof.
The reasons for tho propcsed annexation are as
followS:

a " The territory to be annened is contiguouG to
22 th� boundar�es of the City of Ban Jacinto and
has been identified by the Petitioners to be
23 in need of higher level, of municipal servlces.

3. The Local Agenc.y Formation Commission held its
public hearing of the proposed annexatinn on April 7 , 19GP

approving the proposal as submitted ,

5 4. A public hearing shall be held in the council
chambers at 209 East Main Stre�t , San Jacinto ; California ,
� at the hour of 7:30 p .m . on the 7th day of June, 1998 , to
determine whether or not the said Annexation jqo . 56 should
7 be ordered to change thE? boundariee cf the City uf San
Jac,imto .

5 . Any owner of the land or any registered voters
9 within said Annexation No . 55 may file a written protest to
the proposed Annexation with the City Clerk of San Jacinto
10 at the City Offices, 201 E" Main Street , or by mail to Post
Office Box 489» San Jacinto , California , 92303x any time
11 prior to the conclusion of the public hearing ~

�� 6 ^ The City C shall cause notice to be publi-hed
in the Valley Register , a newspaper of general circulation
13 in the City of San 3Scintov County of Riverside, Gtate of
Californiar posted and mailed as required by law and shall
14 certify as required bY lam.

26 (inclusive) , 116, 121, 122, 129 through 133
(inclusive) , 136 and 137, together with portions of Farm
Lots 1, 3, 111, 115, 120, 123 and 138 of the lands of the
San Jacinto Land Association as shown by Map on file in
Book 8 of Maps, Page 357, Records of San Diego County,
California, lying
within Sections 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 27,
28 and 29, Township 4 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the most Northerly center line
intersection of Chase Street and Ramona Expressway as said
intersection is shown on Parcel Map 10556 on file in Book
58 of Parcel Maps, Pages 40 and 41, Records of Riverside
County, California, said intersection being also the most
Southerly corner of Annexation No. 36 to the City of San
Jacinto;
Thence North 45019'01" West along said center line of
Ramona Expressway, being also along the Southwesterly line
of said Annexation No. 36, a distance of 1646.37 feet to
the most Westerly corner of said Annexation No. 36, said
corner being also a point on the boundary line of
Annexation No. 53 to the City of San Jacinto;
Thence South 12°10'59" West along said boundary line
a distance of 48.61 feet to an intersection with the
original center line of Idyllwild Drive, said intersection
being also an angle point in said boundary line of

Thence along said boundary line of Annexation No. 53
