A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
2 OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO APPROVING
AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
3 THE HEMET-SAN JACINTO AREA PLAN FOR THE
FIRST CYCLE OF CALENDAR YEAR 1988 ,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :

WHEREAS, Section 65361. of the Government Code provides
that no mandatory element of a General Plan shall be
amended more frequently than four times during any calendar
8 year, and that the City Council- of the City of San. Jacinto
is amending the Land Use Element of the Hemet.-San Jacinto
Area Plan for the first time during the 1988 calendar year;
and
10 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto Planning Commission
11 held a public hearing on a change to the Land Use Element
on General. Plan Amendment 1-88 and did adopt Resolution
12, No . 88 --07 and making recommendations to the City Council

i concerning the General- Plan Amendment and has filed with
131 the City Council copies of map and report relating to the
application; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto
15 held a public hearing on April 5th, 1988 and made a
determination
-'ermination that the Land Use Element of the Hemet--San
lib Jacinto Area Plan should be amended as follows :
17 A. Existing land use patterns will be enhanced by
CPA-1-88 being assigned Community Commercial
IS density .
191 B. GPA--1-88 will enhance the logical development of
the City .

C. CPA--l -88 allows reasonable and proper use of
21 property in the vicinity of the amendment .
22 D, No significant environmental 'impact is expected
from adoption of CPA-1-88 .

WHEREAS, advertisement for a public hearing on GPA- 1 --
24 88 was published in accordance with Article 6 , Chapter 3,
25 of Title 7 , of the Government Code-, and
WHEREAS, the City Council. finds that there will not be
26 a significant impact upon the environment by right of this
change and adopts a Negative Declaration for General Plan
27 Amendment 1-88 .
28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, that the Hemet-San Jacinto Area
29 Plan be amended to reflect the change aforementioned for
General. Plan Amendment 1-88 as noted by Exhibit "A" ,
30, attached .
