A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACIN'VO
2 INITIATING PROC'EEDINGS FOE? THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, KNOWN AS ANNEXATION
3 NO 55-A AND GIVING NOTICP OF' THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
(PARCELS 1. AND 2 )

WHEREAS, the City Council of San Jacinto adorlted
5 Resolution No . 1653 acknowledging receipt of tile Detition
for annexation, consented to such annexation and authorized
6 the submittal of the appropriate aQvlication L'O the Local
Aqency Formation Commission.- and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission by
8 Resolution No . 35-87 dated July 30, 1987 desiqnated t h e
City of San Jacinto as the conductina authority and
9 authorized the annexatic�n to Droceed subject to the terms
and conditions which oroceedinqs imoosed on similar
10 annexations to the Citv and is authorized to proceed with
notice and hearinq in accordance with Government Code
11 Section 5-1000 et, seq. p- and
12 WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of San jacinto
desires to initiate , conduct and complete proceedinas for
Annexation Na . 55--A as avproved ,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the C.i.tv Council
of the City of San Jacinto finds , declares and determine5
15 eS follows -
16 1 . The distinctive short form deesiqnation for this
proposal assigned by the Local A(4encv Formation Commission
171 is LAFCO No . 87-01-3, the boundaries of which are described
in "Exhibit All attached hereto and are a part hereof- .

2 . The reasons for the oroDosed annexation are as
19 follows :
20 a . The territory to be annexed is contiquous to
the boundaries of the City of San- Jacinto and
21 has been identified by the 'Detitioners Its be

24 services to the territory.

A portion of the lands of the San Jacinto Land Association
as shown by Map on file in Book 8 of Maps, Page 357, Records of
San Diego County, California, and a portion of the lands of the
Hemet Land Company as shown by Map on file in Book 1 of Maps,
Pages 14 and 15, Records of Riverside County, California, lying
within Section 2, Township 5 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the center line intersection of Esplanade
Avenue and Santa Fe Street, said intersection being also the
Northwest corner of said Section 2 and the Northwest corner of
Annexation No. 43 to the City of San Jacinto;
Thence Easterl- along said center line of Esplanade Avenue a
distance of 529 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of
said Annexation No. 43, the True Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing Easterly along said center line of
Esplanade Avenue a distance of 465 feet, more or less, to the
Northwest corner of Annexation No. 41 to the City of San Jacinto;
